October in Review

There still seems to be no end to the COVID-19 pandemic and the re-opening of much of Southeast Asia although there are the first, faint glimmers of hope.

Undeterred we have continued to expand our content in the region to help people to plan and be inspired for future travel and also our general news, picture and tips articles. Hopefully we all be able to travel safely again soon.

Here are the highlights from October.

We continue to monitor the situation in Southeast Asia and how many countries in the region have successfully kept cases very low.

Our latest update was Southeast Asia COVID Facts and Figures, which we have already updated with latest figures and tourism developments.

We have also looked at the prospects of testing or vaccinations helping to re-open tourism in the near future.

Vietnam Floods and Landslides

More than 130 people have been killed by landslides and floods in Central Vietnam after a series of major storms hit the region in quick succession.

We looked at the impact of the storms with articles on the three initial storms in October , Typhoon Molave hits Vietnam and At Least 35 Die Following Molave.
