One-Off Buddhist Flight

Thai Airways have announced a special one-off flight on 30th November which will give passengers the opportunity to chant Buddhist mantras while flying over 99 sacred sites within Thailand.

The three-hour flight will head to Chon Buri and Rayong provinces before flying over the Gulf of Thailand to Surat Thani before heading towards Sukhothai before returning to Bangkok.

The trip is part of the Thai Magical Experience journey and will include a celebrity astrologist, food, prayer book and amulet.

New “Semi-commercial” Flights

Thai have also announced flights to and from 7 international destinations on a 2semi-commercial” basis.

Thai haave said that the flights are intended for Thais returning home from overseas, those with families in Thailand, business travellers, students and connecting travellers as well as those with a Special Tourist Visa (STV).

The flights are intended to run during November and December to the following destinations:

  • Copenhagen – Sundays
  • Frankfurt – Fridays
  • Hong Kong – Wednesdays (except 11th and 25th November)
  • London – Sundays
  • Sydney – Sundays
  • Taipei – Wednesdays and Fridays
  • Tokyo – Wednesdays and Saturdays

It is not clear if London flights will take place in November due to the recently announced lockdown and ban on foreign travel.
