Asia Highlights Part 3

We continue our look at some of the best places to visit in Southeast Asia.

We have already seen places as diverse as Yangon in Myanmar to Gardens by the Bay in Singapore and from Ha Long Bay in Vietnam to Philippine Sunsets.

Ba Na Hills, Vietnam

This tourist resort just outside of Da Nang is accessed by cable car and includes a replica French village, the incredible Golden Bridge, Fantasy Park, a wax museum, alpine coaster and more for the whole family.

Beware that Ba Na Hills is 1,487 metres above sea level and so temperatures are much lower than in the city and beach.

Komodo National Park, Indonesia

Komodo and Rinca Islands are located about 250 miles from Bali and are the perfect location to see Komodo Dragon in their natural habitat.

Make sure that you join an ethical tour for the best experience that also ensures that you are safe, these animals can be dangerous, and that the dragons themselves and their habitat is not damaged.

Grand Palace, Bangkok

dating from 1782 the Grand Palace in Bangkok is aptly named for its wonderful architecture, temples, statues and artifacts.

It will probably take all day to take it all in, but it is well worth the time spent.

Kuang Si Waterfall, Laos

Kuang Si Waterfalls, Laos

South of Luang Prabang in Laos lie this wonderful 3-tiered waterfalls surrounded by lush landscape but are easily accessed by most people.

From a shallow pool they lead to a number of falls before a final 200 foot (60 metre) drop at the bottom.

Koh Rong, Cambodia

Escape the crowns on many of the beaches throughout Southeast Asia by visiting Koh Rong in southern Cambodia.

Largely unspoilt, the islands are home to incredible luxury hotels as well as backpacker retreats.

El Nido, Philippines

With incredible white-sand beaches, coral reefs, karst cliff faces, El Nido is truly a paradise location.
