Britons To Be Banned From Thailand

The Bangkok Post is reporting today that the Thai Ministry of Public Health will ask the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) defer entry of British visitors.

The call comes following a British family entered the country on 21st December who tested positive for the new, faster spreading, Covid-19 B117 strain.

The family, two adults and two children, have now been sent to a Covid secure hospital until they have tested negative for Covid-19.

All other passengers, and those that they had come into contact with, on the flight were tested and returned negative tests.

The B117 strain has now been reported in more than 30 countries, including Singapore and Vietnam.
