The report methodology used criteria from the 36 weeks following the report of their 100th case and were based on the availability of the required data for 6 criteria including:
- Fewer reported cases and deaths, both in aggregate and per capita terms, point towards a better response to the virus
- More tests conducted on a per capita basis reveal a more accurate picture of the extent of the pandemic at the national level.
- Fewer reported cases and deaths, both in aggregate and per capita terms, point towards a better response to the virus.
- Lower rates of positive tests indicate greater degrees of control over the transmission of COVID-19
Meanwhile The Straits Times is reporting that the lack of proper face mask wearing and adherence to social distancing in Malaysia are helping to fuel increasing numbers of Covid cases.
“This can often be seen among service staff, food vendors, waiters at restaurants, construction workers and in offices in the private and government sectors.,”Subramaniam Muniandy, President Malaysian Medical Association via The Straits Times
