Singapore Happiest Place In Southeast Asia

The World Happiness Report 2021 has ranked Singapore as the happiest place in Southeast Asia with Myanmar the least happy place (report was compiled to the recent coup in Myanmar).

Finland (7,842 happiness score) topped the rankings followed by Denmark (7,620) and Switzerland (7,571).

The UN sponsored report used data in categories including GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, generosity and perceptions of corruption to come up with an overall ranking.

New Zealand were in 9th place (7,277) with Australia (7,183) two places lower. Canada (7,103) were 14th, Ireland (7,085) 15th, the UK (7,064) were 17th and the US (6,985) 19th.
