The wait for the start of the Singapore – Hong Kong Travel bubble is unlikely to begin anytime soon as rising cases and heightened restrictions take hold in Singapore.

Discussions on the travel bubble will only resume only when the Covid-19 sitiation improves. Singapore has been looking at a number of travel bubbles throughout the pandemic.
The Singapore Ministry of Transport has said that officials from both countries will remain in close contact and will be “taking stock in late August”. Singapore has reimposed Phase 2 measures from 22nd July until 18th August.
The travel bubble was initially due to begin last year but has been delayed numerous times as cases increase.
Singapore has seen increasing numbers of Covid cases over the last few days many of which have been linked to an outbreak at the Jurong Fishery Port, markets and food centres.
