Plans have been announced to construct Southeast Asia’s largest theme park on the Indonesian island of Bali.

An agreement between Paramount Pictures and an Indonesian company was reported to have been signed recently with a planned “soft launch” in 2025.
The park will be located in the Pekutatan, Jembrana area of Bali.

Paramount Pictures is part of ViacomCBS and films include the Mission Impossible, Transformers, Indiana Jones, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, Top Gun and Iron Man franchises. The group also includes the Nickelodeon and MTV production companies.
Paramount however are yet to confirm the agreement.

Paramount have previously been a feature of the Theme Park industry but withdrew from the US market in 2006. Plans to open theme parks in Murcia, Spain and Kent in England were both abandoned. Plans to build a new Paramount theme Park in Incheon, South Korea were announced in 2018 with a planned opening in 2025.
Once completed it is hoped that the park will attract 5 million visitors each year.
