Tourist Attractions In World Travel Awards 2021

The nominees are in for this years World Travel Awards (Asia) and there are plenty of Southeast Asia nominees.

The awards take place on 6th August.

Asia’s Leading Tourist Attraction

The wonderful UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ha Long Bay, has been nominated as Asia’s Leading Tourist Attraction, an award it won in 2019.

The bay features incredible limestone karsts, caves, islands and floating villages and is generally explored over two or three days on one of the many traditional and modern ships which cruise the area.

Asia’s Leading Theme Park

A number of theme parks in Southeast Asia have been nominated this year.

Ancol Dreamland, Indonesia

Located in the Jakarta region of Indonesia, the park includes an international championship golf course, a theme park, hotels and other recreational facilities.

Also nominated for Asia’s Leading Theme Park Resort.

LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort

Alongside the main LEGOLAND park, which features 8 areas and more than 40 rides and attractions, is the LEGOLAND Water Park, LEGOLAND Hotel and SEA LIFE Aquarium.

Also nominated for Asia’s Leading Theme Park Resort.

Sun World, Ba Na Hills, Vietnam

At the height of 1,487 m from the sea level, Sun World Ba Na Hills is coined the “heaven on earth” owing to its spectacular climate and otherworldly natural landscape.

Travel around the resort in the award-winning cable-car system and visit the Golden Bridge, French Village and Fantasy Park, the largest indoor game zone in Vietnam.

Sunway Lagoon, Malaysia

Featuring an amusement park, water park, the Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon, wildlife park, scream park and X-Park which includes Malaysia’s longest Flying Fox, Bungee Jump, Go Kart and ATV adventures.

Also nominated for Asia’s Leading Water Park 2021.

VinWonders Nha Trang, Vietnam

Alongside a number of natural attractions are Adventure Lane, Water World and a Sea World Aquarium.

VinWonders Phu Quoc, Vietnam

The largest theme park in Asia includes Tornado World, Magic World, Adventure World, the Secret Village and the Avenue of Europe plus hotels, VinPearl Safari Park and championship golf course.

Also nominated for Asia’s Leading Water Park 2021.

Asia’s Leading Theme Park Resort

Apart from Ancol Dreamland and LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort (above) another two Asia theme park resorts have received nominations this year.

Resorts World Genting, Malaysia

Located in the hills, 1,800 metres above sea level, features 7 hotels, including one of the largest in the world, theme parks, casino, shopping malls and sporting facilities.

Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore

An incredible resort in the heart of Singapore which includes; Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark, Dolphin Island and much more. the resort includes numerous hotels, shopping experiences and cafes and restaurants.
