Southeast Asia Destinations In Hunt For Awards

The nominees are in for this years World Travel Awards (Asia) and there are plenty of Southeast Asia destinations among the nominees.

The awards take place on 6th August.

Brunei is nominated for Asia’s Leading Emerging Tourism Destination.

This years nominations include:

  • Asia’s Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination

Komodo National Park is nominated for Asia’s Leading National Park

Laos is nominated for:

  • Asia’s Leading Emerging Tourism Destination
  • Asia’s Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination 2021
  • Asia’s Leading Youth Travel Destination

Malaysia

This years nominations include:

  • Asia’s Leading Beach Destination
  • Asia’s Leading Destination
  • Asia’s Leading Dive Destination
  • Asia’s Leading Sports Tourism Destination
  • Asia’s Leading Wedding Destination

Destinations within Malaysia have also received nominations:

  • Kuala Lumpur is nominated for Asia’s Leading City Break Destination
  • Penang is also nominated for Asia’s Leading Meetings and Conference Destination.
  • Penang Port is nominated for Asia’s Leading Cruise Port
  • Kinabulu National Park and Taman Negara National Park are both nominated for Asia’s Leading National Park

Myanmar

Myanmar is nominated for Asia’s Leading Emerging Tourism Destination.

Philippines

This years nominations are:
